Stacia Marcellin

The first thing you should know about me is that I am passionate about women’s health. As a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, I care about the well-being of our families and our community. I am an advocate for holistic well-being and social justice. I am the mother to three divine human beings and support families in the care of their divine human beings. I am a creative and actively participate in the arts. Additionally, I am a proud triathlete.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have worked in various settings including family centers, schools, hospitals, clinics, and the penal system. I have worked with students, therapeutic foster care families, veterans, those in recovery, active military personnel, caregivers, and more. I have received training in Maternal Health at Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins Medical School, Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and Advanced Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International.

I became a birth worker to support greater maternal health outcomes in my community. My mission is to support families in having an empowered birth experience and to support them if or when challenges arise. In our work together to support your birth and improve your wellness, I use a holistic approach, understanding we are multi-dimensional human beings. I will sojourn with you to meet your personal objectives; in the context of recovery, reconnection, and resilience.
