Kris Elle

I'm a Mother of Five, Certified Doula and Certified Lactation Counselor® with fifteen years of embodied navigating along the childbearing continuum. I’m a Southern-California native with an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from Loyola Marymount University, and have been a reader, researcher, and writer for as long as I can remember. My professional doula training and year-long certification process came by way of Mama Glow, and I journeyed steps to becoming a Novant-Verified doula to thoughtfully advocate for my clients who choose to birth at Novant hospitals. Further, I proactively connect with clinicians and providers to encourage collective ease for my fellow colleagues and our respective practices.

I love this work and my people, and I spend great time encouraging nourishing pathways for the folks in my care. My private birth work practice is intimately inspired by and devoted to the centering and advancement of safe keeping, space holding, rest promoting, and joy flowing for Black and of color women and their kin/folk.
